Courageous Advocacy/ Agents of Change

This enables our school community to develop a greater awareness of the challenges others face in life and how they, as individuals, can support causes and make a difference.

We are courageous advocates for the common good, locally, nationally and globally. We recognise that life is full of ups and downs and that at times all people will face challenges that they need help and support in overcoming. We believe that people are worth spending time with, that people need time to grow and need loving attention. The Christian Gospel says that every person has a unique task to do, with God, and for God, whether they know it or not. We hold and courageously advocate the conviction that there is something mysterious, and potentially wonderful, in everybody. We strive to instil in our pupils that they can bring about change.

It is important for our children to appreciate their role as part of a community; to take responsibility, to be able to look after themselvesĀ & to foster an understanding of their importance, impact and influence in the world.

Pupils are encouraged to talk to an adult about causes they are passionate about.

Throughout the year, pupil participate in Kindness at Coton events. This includes carol singing in the community and for those residents who are unable to leave their homes. Pupils also work alongside Rivers Trust to maintain Pesaall Brook in the village.

Each year group has an eco-team member . They meet during the term to discuss ways in which the school can be more eco aware and eco-friendly.

This document outlines how and where we show that we are courageous advocates: Courageous Advocacy
