As from 2nd September 2020, due to the increases in food costs and labour costs over the last few years, the price of a Primary School meal will be increasing to £2.20 per meal and adult meals will increase to £3.00.
This cost is not applicable to Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children as they are eligible for Universal Free School Meals, which are funded by the Government. When your child reaches Year 3 and above, you will be expected to pay for school lunches should you require them.
If your child is eligible for Free School Meals, no matter what year group they fall into, you are not required to pay for school meals as these are funded, again by the Government.
As you will already be aware, when we return in September, school meals will be slightly different in order to minimise contact with others whilst in school. If you haven’t already sent your child’s choices in to the school office, please click on the link below for the options and advise the school as soon as possible.
Our School Dinner Money Policy has also been updated. One point to note is that if your child’s dinner money debt exceeds £20, then you must provide them with a packed lunch from home until the debt is cleared.
School dinner money should be paid online via the SchoolMoney website. If you have any problems, please contact the school office for assistance during the normal school hours. Monies should be paid on a weekly basis, or alternatively you can put credit on to your child’s SchoolMoney account to cover several weeks at a time.
