The day has finally arrived when our Happy Hedgehogs class together with the rest of the school celebrate the Royal Wedding with our very own (pretend) wedding of Amber and Oban.
The day couldn’t have been more perfect; all the children looked amazing and had made a real effort for the wedding celebrations.
The children in Happy Hedgehogs all played their roles to the full, whilst looking incredibly dapper and beautiful.
Special thanks should go to:
Jon Paul Morning Suit Hire, Swadlincote for the loan of the waistcoats, cravats and the top hat for the Groom
Petals in the Forest for the Bride’s bouquet and the Groom’s buttonhole.
Reverend Bill Moore for writing and conducting the Wedding Service and for the loan of his beautiful classic car.
Mrs Clarke and St. Mary’s Church for decorating the church so beautifully.
Mr & Mrs Mack for the wedding signage.
Mrs Karen Thompson for coming to play the organ.
….and all the staff at Coton-in-the-Elms Primary who make these special occasions run so smoothly.
The BBC coverage has already been on the lunch time news and will be repeated at 6.30pm this evening. You can also catch this on the BBC iPlayer; search for BBC East Midlands lunch time news, the footage of our school is around 6 minutes 50 seconds into the broadcast (Note this will only be accessible for 24 hrs).
We hope you enjoy some of the photos captured from our wedding celebrations.
