The dates of our production are drawing ever closer, so here are some key details to keep you informed.
Tickets – Thank you to those families who have issued their orders for tickets, these will be handed out this week. In the event that you require more, they are now on general sale, please hurry to avoid disappointment. Please contact the office.
Thursday 21st June – Please remember that on this date, all Key Stage 2 children will be required to make their own way to the Brewhouse for a 9:30am start. We will be spending the whole day at the theatre to undertake a technical rehearsal with scenery and microphones and then running the show in costume. On this day, all children will need to come in comfortable clothes and bring a packed lunch. They will need to be collected from the Brewhouse at 4:30pm.
During the evening of the performances – all children will be required to get back to the Brewhouse for 6:15 pm. This will be for getting into costume and having their make-up applied. Please speak to us if your child is sensitive to stage make-up. The show starts at 7pm.
Please note those Y6 children who are at Lea Green with John Taylor Free School during the day on Friday 22nd June, Mrs Plant has assured us that you will be home by 4.30pm on the Friday evening.
Costumes – The following characters have a hired costume from Lichfield Costume Hire: Mr Bumble, Widow Corney, Mrs Sowerberry, Mr Sowerberry, Noah Claypole. Oliver, Artful Dodger, Fagin, Nancy, Bill Sykes, Bet, Charlotte, Dr. Grimwig, Mrs Bedwin and Mr Brownlow. All other children will need to wear PLAIN black school shoes or pumps, black or grey school trousers or plain black bottoms and they will be able to wear an Oliver! t-shirt. If you are unsure please speak with your child or give us a call and we can advise.
**Please note that some of the named characters above are in multiple parts of the production, so they will need to bring their grey/black school trousers or plain bottoms with black shoes also.
Oliver T-Shirts – All children in the show are welcome to purchase a commemorative shirt to wear during the performance and then keep as a memento to the event. Thank you to all those children who have already purchased these, please speak to the office if you wish to order one for your child to keep afterwards. These are priced at £10
Friday 22nd June in the day – due to the late night finish on the Thursday evening, all children in KS2 and their younger KS1 siblings will be welcome to have a lie in on the morning of Friday 22nd June if they wish. This is not obligatory however, as it may be easier for some parents to drop their children off at normal time. All children should be in school by 10:30 am.
