Grammar and Punctuation: Y6 – using colons and semicolons; understand how hyphens are used; using dashes to mark boundary between independent clauses.

Y5 – using brackets, dashes or commas to indicate parenthesis; use commas to clarify meaning

Please take a moment to have a look at some of the great things The Eager Elms have been doing already this year!

For Literacy we have been studying poems with examples of personification in.  Afterwards we recited them on the stage.  We were the first class to use the Coton Colosseum!



We have also written poetry and used the structure of a poetic monologue in order to bring an Elm tree to life!
