We are the Eager Elms and are a class of Year 5 and Year 6 children. We have 18 pupils in our class and each one of us is very keen to work hard and be the best we can be. Our teacher is Mrs Weston and our teaching assistant is Mrs Brace, and together they work very hard to help us reach our full potential.
Our PE lessons are on a Monday and Tuesday.
We also have homework set twice a week:
Maths on a Tuesday to be handed back on a Thursday
Literacy on a Friday to be handed back on Monday.
Alongside this we have spellings to learn for every Tuesday and times tables to learn for every Thursday.
If we ever need any help with our homework then we can always ask Mrs Weston or Mrs Brace back at school.
We have lots to look forward to this year and reading the following pages will help you to discover more about what we are learning.
Hope parents will find the above link useful!
Please take a moment to have a look at some of the great things The Eager Elms have been doing already this year!
For Literacy we have been studying poems with examples of personification in. Afterwards we recited them on the stage. We were the first class to use the Coton Colosseum!
We have also written poetry and used the structure of a poetic monologue in order to bring an Elm tree to life!
