Preparations going well for Thursday!

Today we held an extended Collective Worship in school which tied in with our theme, ‘life journeys.’  The whole school got together to make and decorate crowns, to wear at our big lunch on Thursday when we celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday.  Mr Genders, our very own artist in residence, led the festivities with the support of all staff members.  It was amazing to see the older children working together with the younger children and everybody getting along so well!  A whole school affair! Take a look below!

Good as new!

During the Easter break a team of willing volunteers from Jaguar Land Rover came into school to carry out important maintenance work on the pirate ship in the Early Years outdoor area. Rotten wooden panels were replaced and the whole ship was given a new coat of paint! The shed had a new felt roof put onto it and a new fence was erected to replace the one which was falling down. Gardening work was undertaken to remove the weeds and nettles too. It now means that the children in Class 1 will be able to use it once again! Take a look at the pictures below!

An Eggstatic Evening at Easter Bingo!

Thank you to all those who came along to join in the fun of our Easter Bingo.  It was certainly a great evening and we managed to raise around £400 for FPTA funds, which is amazing.
Thank you also to those who generously donated Easter Eggs for the bingo prizes.  Our prize table was overflowing like a chocolate waterfall, it was lovely to see.  These events couldn’t happen without your generosity of prizes and time given, so once again – THANK YOU.
