Next week Ms Challinor will be running some online safety sessions for parents and children as part of ‘Back to School Week.’

In an age where technology is ever-changing and developing at a very fast rate, it is important that we educate the children in how they can stay safe online both at school and whilst they are at home.

Come and join your child in class.  The times for the sessions are below:

Tuesday 18th October @ 9:10 – Champion Chestnuts and their parents

Tuesday 18th October @ 2:15 – Hardworking Hazels and their parents

Wednesday 19th October @ 2:15 – Eager Elms and their parents

Thursday 20th October @ 2:15 – All Year 1 & Year 2 children with parents

Children in the Early Years will receive some information in their child’s bag – with some useful tips.

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club continues to grow in popularity; the children are loving the variety of activities, not to mention the choice in breakfast!

The breakfast club form for Autumn Term 2 is now available to download from our website under the Parents section.  Alternatively you can click here and it will take you to the correct page.

It is important to note that if you do wish to use the breakfast club whether it be regularly or for odd days here and there, you must still book in advance to ensure we have the correct level of staffing on site. We have had occasions where children have turned up without prior booking, luckily we were able to accommodate them but this may not always be the case.

Thank you.

A successful coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support

Last Friday the school hosted a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support which was organised and coordinated by our Teaching Assistants; Mrs Harris, Mrs Thorne and Mrs Brace. We received some amazing cakes from parents and staff in support of this event and the turn out on the day was spectacular, with people queuing out of the doorway and up the path!

There was a great atmosphere throughout the morning, with lots of parents and family taking time to catch up with each other.  As a result of this, we made an amazing amount of £173.35 for this worthy cause.

Thank you so much for your generosity and support.

Meet Miss Popple!

Our new teacher Miss Popple will be in school on Tuesday 5th July for Move-up Day. For parents of children who will be in Class 3 next year, should you wish to meet Miss Popple and have an informal chat or discuss anything you feel she needs to know about your child, she will be available until 4:30 on this day. Alternatively, she will be in on the 14th July from 2:30 until 3:15.  Please contact the office if you wish to speak with her and we can make her aware.

School Parking

In the interests of our children’s safety, please do not come through the school gates to park your vehicle at the start or end of the school day (even if raining) unless you have a prior agreement with Mr Smith. Thanking you in advance for your courtesy.
