Please see the Joseph update letter which has been sent home today. Thank you.
Tomorrow we have an activity day, courtesy of the Star Foundation, in return for any items of clothes, bedding, books, CD’s etc that you wish to recycle. A leaflet is being sent home today with a cut off label for you to attach to your bags.
Not only do the children benefit from the activity day but the school will benefit as well. One lucky pupil will also win a contribution towards afterschool club fees – so make sure you put the slip/label on all bags that you bring in to recycle.
Please can you bring any bags of recycling to the school reception in the morning – thank you.
We have received reports from various parents that they have not received text messages recently, even though our system in school shows the messages have been delivered. We have spoken with Teachers2Parents who indicated that there was an outage where the mobile providers were not forwarding messages on. We have been assured that this has now been resolved.
Tomorrow, we will be running a Lego Card Swap Shop at lunch time. If your child has been collecting these cards in the collection book – take a peek at which numbers they are missing and hopefully tomorrow they’ll be able to complete their collection by swapping any duplicate cards they may have.
Don’t forget that we have our Father’s Day gift shop in school tomorrow (Friday) where your child will have the opportunity to buy something special for their Dad for £1. This is a great experience for the children as they get chance to buy something without Mum or Dad being there, making them feel quite grown up!
Just to confirm that this year’s sports day will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 29th June 2017, starting at 1.15pm. Can you please ensure that your child has their hat and water bottle with them.
We are really pleased with how our Breakfast Club is going. We now have an average of 15 children attending each day and both Mrs Mailer and Mrs Billings are having to set more chairs at the table!
Just a reminder that if you wish your child to attend Breakfast Club each day, please ensure that you have completed the form and booked in advance. This can be done by telephoning the office or downloading the form from the website.
Now that we have a high number of children attending, we are unable to accept any child that is ‘dropped off’ on the day, without prior booking. This is because we have to ensure that we have adequate staffing numbers so we are within the recommended limit.
We really hope that our Breakfast Club continues to grow – thank you to all who have used the provision. We know that it makes a difference to the children who attend but also those parents who need to get to work early in the morning.
Letters have gone home today with your child for the Father’s Day lunch which is scheduled for Wednesday 14th June 2017.
Can you please ensure that your reply slips and payment are returned by no later than Thursday 8th June this week in order for us to obtain sufficient quantities of food, ensuring everyone is fed!
We look forward to welcoming your child back into school after the half-term break, looking smart and ready to learn.
Please remember to send your child with a hat and sun cream in the event that the hot weather of last week continues.
The inset days for next year have been set – see the letter link below. Please also note the process for applying for leave of absence in the correspondence.
